Back-to-School Supply Drive

The Back-to-School Supply Drive is a Challenge Discovery Projects initiative to equip youth in the East End of Richmond with backpacks and essential school supplies.

Held at our headquarters on Jefferson Avenue, this annual event represents an opportunity for youth to receive necessary school supplies while participating in engaging activities. Featuring a food truck, shaved ice, facepainting, tie-dye, games, and art projects, 2024's event facilitated meaningful community connections as students prepared for the school year.

With the support of donors, sponsors, and event volunteers, CDP provided over 150 students with fully stocked backpacks in 2024.

Every sponsor, donor, and volunteer helps us reach our goal of providing students with the tools to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
